public relations

The First World War helped stimulate the development of public relations as a profession. Many of the first PR professionals, including Ivy Lee, Edward Bernays, John W. Hill, and Carl Byoir, got their start with the Committee on Public Information, which organised publicity on behalf of U.S. objectives during World War I.

aspect:PR

Public Relations is an incredibly powerful communications tool that, when used appropriately, can make a significant impact on the profile of a business. Aspect does not view PR as a quick fix and we provide the service as part of a marketing mix. Put simply, PR is explaining your core objectives and strategy, again and again. Blanket saturation is obvious and easily ignored; we prefer to communicate strategically, building your profile piece by piece. This involves using our enviable contacts in the media world, seeking local, national and international opportunities to tell your story. Our PR team spend time with our clients, building a strong narrative and identifying news worthy content to use both in the media and in internal promotions. We establish and run social media campaigns as part of this PR activity because through these we can communicate your message all of the time, regardless of wider media interest, in a direct channel to your audience.
